About This Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Signalyst uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website at signalyst.co.uk. We believe in transparency about how we collect and use your data.
Essential Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in to your account. These cookies are necessary for the website to function properly and cannot be switched off.
- Purpose: Authentication — keeping you logged in while you use the dashboard
- Duration: 7 days from when you log in
- When set: When you successfully log in to your account
- When cleared: When you log out, or when they automatically expire after 7 days
Without these cookies, we cannot provide our service to you, as you would need to log in on every page visit.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies on this site. Some are essential for it to work; others are optional and used only with your consent. We ask for your consent through a banner when you first visit, and you can change or withdraw it at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in our footer. Rejecting optional cookies does not affect your ability to use the site. Your cookie preference itself is stored in your browser.
Analytics (optional — only with consent)
With your consent we use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site — pages viewed, links clicked, features used — so we can improve it. It sets cookies on your device, and we do not load it or set those cookies until you accept. We do not send Google any information that identifies you personally, such as your name or email address. Analytics data is retained for up to 14 months.
We also use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused, EU-based service that measures overall traffic without cookies and without collecting any personal or identifying information. Because it sets no cookies and holds no personal data, it runs without requiring consent.
Advertising (optional — only with consent)
With your consent we use Google Ads conversion-tracking technology to measure how effective our marketing is. These cookies are set only after you accept and are not used for advertising personalisation beyond what you consent to.
International transfers
Google may process data outside the UK, including in the United States, under appropriate safeguards such as the UK extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. Plausible processes data within the EU.
Cookies we use
Plausible Analytics sets no cookies, so it does not appear in this table. When you make a payment, our payment provider Stripe sets its own essential cookies for fraud prevention and security on its checkout pages (see the Stripe section below).
Your choices
Accept or reject optional cookies via the banner, and change your choice at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in our footer. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. For how Google handles data, see Google's Privacy Policy.
Third-Party Cookies (Stripe)
When you make a payment through our website, our payment processor Stripe may set cookies on your device for fraud prevention and security purposes. These cookies are set directly by Stripe, not by Signalyst.
You can learn more about how Stripe uses cookies in their Cookie Policy.
Managing Cookies
You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View cookies stored on your device
- Delete some or all cookies
- Block cookies from specific websites
- Block all cookies (though this will prevent you from logging in)
Please note: If you clear our authentication cookies, you will be signed out and will need to log in again the next time you visit.
